Kristiansand

is a small town in the south of Norway, a typical summer destination for Norwegians and for foreign tourists.

The hometown to Kjell Nupen a famous Norwegian painter,

and H.R.H Crown princess of Norway Mette Marit.

I have so many good memories from vacation with my mum and dad in this city, and I also lived here for two years in my younger years.

I went back this september for exploring the citys

offering of small cafés and local design.

It's so beautiful here, and at this time of the year it's no tourists, just the locals.

That of course means that some of the most popular restaurants and cafes are closed, as well as some of the designer outlets. It gives me a luxuries feeling walking around in empty streets, no queue for tables and peace and quiet in mind I never experience in the city life I usually live.

.You can reach Kristiansand from Oslo, by Norwegian for nok. 299,-

You can reach directly from Copenhagen and Stockholm. If you want to combine Denmark or Sweden with Norway, you start with Kristiansand and go by train or bus to Oslo.

Follow

my journey to Kristiansand,

I will let you in to the secret veggie place I found, and to a hotspot called "Happiness".

Stay tuned for more travelstories!
