When celebrating Constitution Day you usually start the day really early, I woke up at seven o clock to prepare breakfast for my friends. This is also the day to wear "bunad", a traditional dress made of wool. The dress not easy to wear, with linen shirt and silver brooches. The dress was a gift from my parents 25 years ago, and I wear it with great pride.
Yesterday the breakfast was "smørgåstårta" a Swedish tradition, and a tribute to all my Swedish friends. I was so lucky that Mr. Johan Berlin - the head-chef at Sorgenfri made the most beautiful breakfast cake ever.
After breakfast we went to The Royal Palace to greet the King and his family, and to watch the parade from VIP seats in front of the Palace.
